Government e-Letter Management System (GEMS) has been introduced to 6 Government Organizations in Thiladhunmathi Dhekunuburi Kulhudhuhfushi on 12th July 2011. The organizations are:

• Mathi Uthuru Sarahahduge Gaumee Idhaaraa
• Thiladhunmathi DhekunuburiAtholhu Councilge Idhaaraa
• Thiladhunmathi Dhekunuburi Kulhudhuhfushi Councilge Idhara
• Jalaaluhdheen School
• Upper North Health Service Corporation
• Kulhudhuhfushi  Regional Hospital

Training sessions were held for administrators, senior staffs and GEMS users of each organization to ensure that all respective staffs of these organizations are fully aware of how to use the GEMS system.  Furthermore, an On-the-Job training was held for the Dispatch and Entry staff of each individual organization at the respective location.

In summary, 76 staff was given GEMS User Training, 14 staff was given GEMS Administrator Training and 24 senior staff was given GEMS Section Head’s training. The trainings were held in the Student Computer lab of Jalaaluhdheen School.


In conclusion, GEMS has been effectively introduced and will enable the mentioned government offices in Thiladhunmathi Dhekunuburi Kulhudhuhfushi to exchange communications electronically.
