1. The Republic of Maldives has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Information Technology Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for Internet Kiosks, Contract No: 164-IK.
2. The National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply, installation and commissioning of Internet Service Kiosks in 24 islands across Maldives.
3. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: Single Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the NCIT and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below, from 0730 to 1430 hours.
5. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be obtained by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent via email for overseas delivery.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 1100 hours, 02 March 2008. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of US$10,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 1300 hours, 02 March 2008.
7. A Pre-Bid Meeting will take place at 1100 hours on 28 January 2008 at the National Centre for Information Technology.
8. The National Centre for Information Technology will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
